Carl's Place Return Policy

Carl's Place has a 30-day return policy on most items. Some items are not returnable, some items are only returnable if unopened, and some items follow a different timeline.

Please thoroughly inspect your items upon delivery. If something's wrong or you're thinking about returning it, you must contact us first. All returns must be approved before sending anything back.


General Return Terms

Returns Inspection: All returns are expected to arrive in new and unused condition and items are thoroughly inspected before exchanges or refunds are granted. If an item is received in a condition other than new and unused and is deemed to be suitable for discounted resale, as determined by Carl's Place, a 30% restocking fee will be applied. Based on the return inspection, not all returned items will qualify for a refund.

Return Shipping: Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the sender.

Manufacturer Direct Items: Items that come direct from the manufacturer are indicated as such on the product page. Products shipped directly from the manufacturer carry a 5% cancellation fee and may incur a 15% restocking fee upon return. Return policies vary by the manufacturer.

Custom/Special-Order Items: Custom screen dimensions, golf enclosure kits and special-order items may be subject to restocking fees up to 50% on cancellations or returns.

Refund Timing: Refunds are typically processed within 10 business days after we receive the return.


Apparel

Carl's Place apparel in like-new condition is eligible for return or exchange for 15 days from the date of delivery. Apparel must be unused, unaltered, and free of stains, odor, and debris. If it is determined that the return is not in acceptable condition, you will be notified and given the opportunity to have the items returned to you at your cost.


Clearance Products

Clearance items and remnants are sold as-is and are not eligible for return.


Custom Products

We love to work on customized projects and help our customers create their perfect setup, however, not all custom products are eligible for return. Those include:

  • Custom/Non-Standard Finish: These are products that incorporate multiple finishing techniques or unique alternative finishing styles.
  • Custom-Sized Replacement Components: Replacement components made to fit an existing product that is not a standard size found on the product listing page.
  • Untraditional Dimensions: Impact screens and enclosures that do not fall within the range of dimensions offered in our Build Your Own Golf Simulator tool.

Electronics

Open-box electronics may incur a restocking fee of up to 20%. Most electronics are manufacturer-direct; refer to the manufacturer for warranty service.

Brand-Specific Electronics Policies:

BenQ: Returns accepted in like-new condition with original packaging within 30 days.

Bushnell: Returns accepted in like-new condition with all original packaging within 30 days.

Epson: Returns accepted within 15 days only if the equipment arrives damaged or defective.

FlightScope: Returns accepted in like-new condition with all packaging within 30 days. A 5% restocking fee applies.

Foresight Sports: All sales are final; only warranty claims are handled directly through Foresight.

Full Swing: Returns accepted in like-new condition with all packaging within 30 days.

Garmin: Returns accepted in like-new condition with all packaging within 30 days.

GolfJoy: Returns accepted in like-new condition with all original components within 30 days; an RMA is required, and customers pay return shipping.

LG: All sales are final; returns only accepted within 15 days if the equipment arrives damaged or defective.

NVISAGE: Returns accepted in like-new condition with original packaging within 30 days.

Optoma & Panasonic: Returns accepted in like-new condition with original packaging within 30 days.

ProTee: All sales are final; only warranty claims are accepted.

Rapsodo: Returns accepted in like-new condition with original packaging within 30 days.

SkyTrak: Returns accepted in like-new condition with original packaging within 30 days.

SurfThing: Returns accepted on unopened products in like-new condition within 30 days; customer pays return shipping.

Trackman: Defective or non-conforming products may be returned for a refund of purchase price and shipping costs; customers have a 30-day right of withdrawal for unused software and physical products.

TruGolf: Returns accepted in like-new condition with all original packaging within 14 days.

Uneekor: Returns accepted in like-new condition with all original packaging within 15 days of license activation or 60 days of receipt.

If a brand isn't listed here, assume the item is non-returnable or follow the manufacturer's instructions.


Gift Cards

Gift cards are not returnable. See our Gift Card Policy for full details.


Hitting Mats & Turf

Some mats ship directly from the manufacturer and may incur restocking fees. Returns are accepted on mats in like-new condition under the following timelines:

Big Moss: Returns accepted within 30 days of delivery.

Country Club Elite: Returns accepted within 90 days of delivery.

Fiberbuilt: Returns accepted within 30 days with original packaging.

TrueStrike: Returns accepted within 30 days with original packaging.

Some hitting mats may be subject to a 15% restocking fee.


Software & Digital Goods

Golf simulator software and digitally-delivered product sales are final. We are unable to accept returns on any digital downloads.


Services

Design Services: Golf Room Design Services and Virtual Course Design Services are non-refundable once we begin work on your project, which starts upon your response to the initial consultation email; OR if we do not receive a response within 60 days of your order. You are responsible for keeping your contact information up to date and responding to our communications promptly.
